Ellis Model

This Viscosity model allows data to be fitted to the following model. The Ellis model uses the stress instead of the rate as independent variable:

with ho the Newtonian viscosity, hoo the infinite viscosity, k= the consistency and n the power law index +1.

Using This Model

Use this model to fit data from a fluid that have a low Newtonian viscosity region with a transition into the Power Law region.

Comments

The Carreau model is a variant of the Ellis model. The Ellis model is equivalent to the Cross model, but uses the stress rather than the shear rate.
